Cablecast 4.8.5 Release Notes ========================================================= * Bug 3130 | Record run fields don't always update -The start time for record runs now correctly reflect bumps in the parent runs start time. * Bug 4209 | SXHWControl logging on systems where no DSX.SD installed -SXHWControl will now only create one notification when started on systems without the appropriate hardware. * Bug 4225 | Cablecast Supercopy generates duplicate shows at 12 AM -Shows scheduled at 12 AM and copied using Supercopy, no longer generate duplicate runs. * Bug 4226 | Cablecast Supercopy browser error when clicking Finish from a remote connection -The Finish button in Supercopy would only redirect to localhost, causing a conflict when using it from a remote machine. Supercopy will now use the correct server address. * Bug 4317 | SXConfiguration app can become unsynced with SXHWcontrol -Restarting SXHWControl while SXConfiguration was open would cause it to hang. SXConfiguration will now continue to work after a SXHWControl restart. * Bug 4602 | Knox RSII Router status doesn't always give feedback -We now check against five types of status commands the Knox RSII series can return. * Bug 4608 | Schedule is sluggish when many shows are on the schedule -Optimized the show schedule code to be speedier when dealing with many shows on a single days schedule. * Bug 4631 | Cablecast Public Site doesn't sort fields in alphabetical order -The Category and Producer drop down menues in the Cablecast Public Site are now in alphabetical order. * Bug 4640 | Changed default authentication for Cablecast Supercopy -Improved Cablecast Supercopy default authentication. * Bug 4645 | Multiple ProcessID Changed entries in TRMS log -Attempts to play invalid files will now no longer occasionally cause a system-wide freeze. * Bug 4705 | SX Autodumps don't create .dmp file. -Folder for dump logs are now generated in the ControlModules directory if it does not exist. * Bug 4712 | Standalone Crawl Schedule Limited to 255 Characters -In some databases the crawl text field was had a limit of 255 characters. The Cablecast installer now changes the type of the crawl text field so this limit is no longer present. * Bug 4726 | Increase Length of iCal Schedule Feed -Added a DisplayDays variable to the iCal schedule that enables you to adjust how far into the future you would like to display. * Bug 4850 | Autopilot warning when SX content drives are 80 percent full -Error messages are now displayed when sending autopilot if the content drives are more than 80 percent full or have less than 2GB of available free space. * Bug 4868 | On demand transcoder fails for digital file CMs that are not a server -Creating a device with the type Digital File that wasn't a video server would break VOD transcoding. We now can handle it. * Bug 4912 | Add Title of Program and Link to Schedule for Missing Programs in Autopilot Send Report -Missing file messages in AutoPilot send report now contain the title of the show which acts as a link to the shows edit page. * Bug 4929 | Cannot subscribe to Podcasts that contain pipe in the network path -The transcode process now successfully transcodes from multiple content drives. * Bug 4986 | Resumes don't always fire -Resume commands wouldn't always fire depending on how file playback was stopped. We now will resume playback until the show should no longer be playing. * Bug 5035 | XList can generate 0 duration shows with no titles -When generating an XList schedule all shows less than 60 seconds are now ignored. Gaps in the schedule are also filled after invalid shows are removed in order to avoid back to back scheduling of the default source. * Bug 5038 | Resume logs don't always show the correct resume position -Changed resume logging to take into account previous resumes. * Bug 5045 | Resume code will continually try to resume a show shorter than the DB length -Servers would try to continually resume a file that wasn't long enough to play in the allocated schedule slot. The TRMS log will now display an error if you try to cue a file past the end. * Bug 5046 | Scheduled Force playback of .dv files can fail -File checking code added to 4.8.5 was not passing .DV file information correctly. We now pass along .DV file information so the system can determine if it is valid or not. * Bug 5110 | SXPlayer playback of files with no audio track will fail -The SXPlayer Control Module will now correctly play files with no audio as well as files with 48Khz audio. All other audio bit rates will not be played. * Bug 5116 | Public Site colors don't add pound sign before hex value -A Note has been added to the user interface instructing users to lead hex values with a pound symbol character.
